On Sauvie Island, OR the birds are planted
by Oregon Fish and Wildlife Department. We use these hunting opportunities in September and early October as warm up
exercises for the dogs. Andie, our 11 year old GSP showed the puppies the ropes and at 6 months of age, they quickly
figured out why they were out in the field!
Opening weekend, we met up with our friend, Mike Martin (from
New York) and went to Eastern Oregon. We had a little army of six shorthairs on the ground that day.
Mike brought his two GSPs, Ricki Rothenuffeln v Greif "Ricki" and Sport's Rennaisance v Greif "Toby".
